Like a pearl in an oyster the Island of Giglio lies cradled in the warm blue sea of the Tirreno: Her clear waters earn her first place among the cleanest seas of Italy and her mild climate offers to the tourist a holiday full of surprises in all seasons: Cristal clear emerald coloured waters, sea beds rich with fish, a rocky coastline of smooth granite, broken by bays, coves and sandy beaches, flora and fauna of great beauty and interest, numerous minerals, and everywhere the obvious signs of her ancient origins. The territory, of which more than 90% remains uninhabited lends itself to delightful walks to discover the countryside and the uncontaminated sea, such as few places in the world can still offer. The Island of Giglio is about 18 km from the coast of the Argentario, covers an area of 22 kmq with it's highest point reaching 498 m, the three communities being Giglio Castello (the capital), Giglio Porto and Giglio Campese. The excellent reception given to tourist and the simplicity of everyday life satisfy all tastes.

At Island of Giglio, there is tourist accommodation available in hotels, farm holiday, farmhouse, residence self-catering accommodation, b&b, rooms for rent, holiday homes, camp sites and tourist villages.
