Plains to the north and to the west, hills to the east and mountains to the south, these are the coordinates that pinpoint the position of the Langhe. A huge expanse of rolling hills cut in half by the river Tanaro, the natural boundary between this region and that of the Roero.
The term Langhe undoubtedly has Celtic origins and means strips of land. The term clearly makes reference to the erosion furrows that characterise the Langhe, an erosonial phenomenon caused by the sedimentary nature of the terrain.
At Langhe, there is tourist accommodation available in hotels, farm holiday, farmhouse, residence self-catering accommodation, b&b, rooms for rent, holiday homes, camp sites and tourist villages.
